Bessie\'s Diner - Janesville, WI (KJVL) - Saturday - October 29, 2022

Guess I'd better be there!

Note:  It can be a very popular destination.  I was number 5 in the pattern last time I was there, with landings on two runways  It is a towered field, but I don't think they have radar.

Looking forward to seeing you, Chris.  Janesville has some fog this morning.  Forecast shows it will burn off.

Delaying the Fly-in arrival time by one hour to give the fog more time to burn off.  Plan on arriving at 10:00am CDT.  Here is my phone number if you need to text, call me, or your ETA once you finally get airborne.

Removed phone number.

Another great day to fly in the Midwest.  Super smooth flight up and back.  By delaying the fly-in for one hour the visibility went from two miles up to four miles at Janesville due to fog.  Sky was clear the entire morning.  I was able to see the airport twenty miles out.  It was only when you descended to pattern altitude that the visibility was reduced.  Bob Schmidt drove in.  One of his partners, Jeremy had their plane in Michigan.  Chris Ott flew in his Sundowner and brought three of his friends with him.  Two flew in a separate aircraft.  I would highly recommend flying into Janesville and dining at Bessie's.

Bob Schmidt was unable to make it to BACFest this year.  He was awarded the Musketeer award at BACFest.  John Redmon presented Bob the award yesterday at Janesville.  A much-deserved recipient for all that Bob has done for the club over the years.  Congratulations Bob!

Picutured are:  Troy, Chris Ott, Jason, Bob Schmidt, and Ken
