darn it: so close.

I was invited this afternoon to tag along to Oshkosh by one of my customers. We will fly in on Sunday, and fly out on Wednesday...

Maybe next time.

on a related note: WOOHOO!!!!!!! I am going to Oshkosh!!! 31 years I have waited for this!!!! I am sooooo stoked :-)

Now to go buy a tent and sleeping bag tomorrow, and charge up the camera. anything else I need to bring? A big bag of money for the swap meet???

ps: I will try to make my way over to see you at a non-picnic hour, my host is also a (silent) BAC member :-)

My cell is 414-397-8215. I hope to be there Sunday afternoon. I work Monday and Tuesday till 1:00 but should be there Monday afternoon, maybe for a while on Tuesday afternoon as well.

Bob and I setup the canopy today. So we should be easy to find this year. We had a potential new member stop by after seeing the canopy. BAC member Kenny Cook popped in and talked with us for awhile.

I can't make it Wednesday. My wife has to work so I'm in kid patrol.

I'm going to shoot for Friday or Saturday. I'll stop by then if you're still there.

A late post on the picnic. We had 16 attend the picnic on Wednesday afternoon. Hopefully John Redmon will post with the attendees as he has the only list. I don't know if it counts, But Mike and Andrew Nielsen knocked on my camper door on Saturday evening to say 'hello'.

The picnic went well, with John cooking brats and burgers. Unfortunately, we had a downpour mid afternoon, the first rain ever for BAC at AirVenture. The BAC tent and my camper awning saved the day! By the way, the BAC tent looks awesome!

Thanks to John R and Bob S for another BAC Cookout at OSH. Great adaptability and recovery in the rain, guys. My brat stayed dry!

If we count Mike and Andrew Nielsen that would bring the total to 19 in attendance. In attendance at the picnic were David Vance, Lee Cole and guest Dave Blake, Charley Booton and guest Bill Cuilik, Bob, Andrew, and David Prange, Bob Schmidt, Bob Lewis and guest Ron Meyer, Ken Cook, Ben and Steve Ziemer, Andy and Amber Kavie, and John Redmon.

Early Arrivals host Bob Schmidt, Lee Cole, and David Vance.

My son's freight company recently bought the large hangar next to the Hilton Hotel. I was privileged to share hangar space there with another fellow of equal fame(?????????). Here is a pic of my plane and his. The one in the back is a Cessna Citation Sovereign belonging to Harrison Ford. No I did not get to see him or get his autograph. What a great fellow he is to give back so much to general aviation and other charities. At the last Special Olympics in Lincoln, NE he flew a group of these athletes from California to Nebraska for the games. I have so much respect for this gentleman.
