Martha's Vineyard

We will meet in the hotel lobby at 9AM on Thursday, Sept 21 for a ride to the airport where we will have a safety briefing and then launch for Katama Airpark (1B2) on Martha's Vineyard. Keeping with recent BACFest tradition, this is yet another nice grass strip. Katama is adjacent to the ocean so you can run dip your toes but be sure to be back by noon to join us for lunch at the Right Fork Diner. This airfield restaurant is a local landmark right on the Katama airfield! After lunch, feel free depart for the mainland or take the bus into Martha's Vineyard and sightsee and shop. You may see a celebrity or two!

If you're not coming to BACFest or if you're arriving late, consider meeting us at Katama. We should be there by 11:00 and lunch is at noon!

Wow - - many thanks !! :) Hope you will join me to Catalina Island next time !! I make killer frozen margarita's onboard (photos). That will make it a coast-to-coast adventure !!

Dave Singleton, Jane his wife and me and Steffi are thinking of taking the ferry over on Thursday so maybe we can join in for lunch with you all
Unless Tom needs me to run van trips
Fred

Officially the BACFest transportation begins at noon on Thursday.
All van trips will be arranged and managed by Steve Cote.
Steve will assign the drivers to the various vehicles (4).
His career history includes dispatching ambulances for a half dozen towns in Western Massachusetts.
It is possible that a ride from the hotel to the airport can be arranged in my SUV and/or the hotel van.
Thanks to him volunteering, if you ask ME for a ride I will tell you to go to Steve Cote. (Previously it was Helen Waite).

That would be great! I've had to go to Helen Waite before and she's no fun to deal with!

With the weather, this very well may not happen. I may or may not make it in on Wednesday so if I don't and someone else wants to get the people that are there to fly to another airport (weather permitting) we will count it as this one as far as PT points are concerned.
