Extra enticing to me, since this puts me 1/2 way to a grand baby visit (VT) in the spring. With camping and biking involved, probably 300 lbs of load this time ....

I had to go ahead and reserve these dates. All the single sites are booked already so I booked one of the group sites. This allows us up to thirty people.

Let me know when you want to try this. I'm ok camping down to about 20* but below that it ceases to be fun! I do need a little lead time to reschedule patients if we want to make it a long weekend though.

My lightweight sleeping bag is good down to 20F but the lowest I think I've done is about 30F.

A silk bag liner is really helpful and light to carry. Feels to me like an extra 10 degrees of warmth.

What y'all think about a scouting trip Dec. 5th weekend? Lows should be around 30F as long as it doesn't rain should be a nice trip. I might be able to get off work that Friday.

I still plan to attend. No fishing, but bringing my bike and a deck of cards. And not the pup tent (!) (photo), but a larger one ....
A spring scouting trip sounds like fun as well if schedule and weather allow. Just let me know. It would be an overnight for me, and hopefully a good restaurant or two .... and some hot coffee.
