Warm Up Your Oil - Fly-in to Iowa City December 5

Great Time!

Thanks so much to all the BAC members and guests who came to my first fly-in. I was sure nervous about doing this (what happens if no one came) - but it worked out great in the end. We had 11 adults, 3 kids, and about 6 airplanes. I think that is great for so late in the year.

Special thanks go to Jay, our host at the Alexis Park Inn. If anyone ever wants to stay at a truly unique place, I highly recommend it. Jay graciously showed us his business, let us fly his flight simulator, and drove us to a great lunch at the Riverside Casino hotel.

Anyway, I'm glad all of us coulld make it, and Sue and I are looking forward to having more fly-ins when the weather gets better.

BTW - we cut this one close... we are having an honest midwest blizzard as I type this. Winds are expected to gust to 50 mph and there will be 1 foot of snow (that means 6 foot drifts in places).

Stay warm!

Sam maybe your wife can clue mine in on how fun snow can be. Brenda spent an hour or so clearing the drive this morning and cussing me because I am in New Mexico. Tom

LOL! Thats funny Tom!!!

Just tell her that a fire (out in the snow) and an adult beverage makes the snow all good!

Sam

Its going to take a lot of fire wood and beer to make this good.
Its just an excuse to get my sled out and ride now,yea..
