I've been there twice. Seems like I remember burgers and maybe BBQ. Some of our Texas members go there fairly often, maybe they can add to the menu?

Bill Franklin is flying down here from Rapid City on Friday and then we are heading down on Saturday in my plane. Reserve us a place.

You name it, they may have it. I've had everything from a BLT to Chicken ala King. They make a really good Chicken Fried Steak.

J, have you checked with the FBO? There is limited parking on the south (FBO) ramp on weekends. The self serve fuel is on the north ramp which has more parking area. The Legend facility is equidistant.

Bo, the best I remember, Legend is equidistant true, but don't we have to walk through the FBO to get to the red barn? That makes it walking from the North Ramp to the South Ramp and on for lunch. Which is still nothing compared to walking from the Beech taxiway to the gate at BacFest last year, so I'll talk to the FBO about us parking on the north ramp away from the fuel so we don't keep anyone from tanking up if need be.

Thanks for the heads up. I know we can park 3 to 4 planes on the south ramp no problem (done it before). But if we get 6 or better, then we need to stay out of the way.

No, the road to the Legend facility goes out to the highway also. Across from the north side of the Red Barn parking lot. The FBO road reaches the highway on the south side. It is a slightly longer walk, but shorter than going through the FBO

We're just about two weeks out from the tour of the factory for the Legend Cubs at KSLR. I'm curious who all I can expect to see there. I may be bringing a Comanche driver and a Cheetah driver. Or the Comanche driver may be bringing me. So if you know folks from your home airport that are interested, tell them to tag along.

I talked with Legend today, and we are on the schedule for our May 5 tour. I don't know everything we will see while we are there, but I do know that Legend has been in the news alot lately as they have started up some new services and options in addition to their light sport program. We might not get an opportunity like this one again for a while, so pray for good weather and meet us over at Sulphur Springs to see how Legends are made.

I think one of their websites is www.legend.aero

Are any of our Texas members starting to get a feel for what the weather is supposed to be like for our May 5 fly in to Sulphur Springs?

Thanks
Jay

Becky and I are planning on coming to tour the Legend plant and enjoy lunch with as many BACers as can make it.

Yes, I think the Millers and the Boggs are both planning the trip. I've heard that some other guys are thinking about it.

We'll be there even if we have to swim dodging lightning strikes. :D

Akromouse on station

After a long winter of upgrades and repairs Akromouse will be at SLR. We're going to see what a new set of cylinders and some fresh donuts can do. Trip from T67 will only be about an hour. Talking to Kurt and Jessica. Their new hangar home is ready for move in that weekend. Haven't heard from Ashley and Clive. They moved to FTW about 6 miles south. Any others who may want to fly over in force send me a message. Planning a 9:30 launch from T67. Mark and Tyra Miller
