Time to go Nuts (Virginia Diner ) Wakefield Va Fly-In (AKQ) FEB 23

After an AirCzar robo call .Due to weather conditions beyond our control ,we will make the go/no go decision on Sat in the Am and push back on the event till 1:30 pm vs. 1130 am .

Attendee prize is in the house and ready for delivery.

It's not looking too good for you easterners for tomorrow. By the PM, it's supposed to be fairly clear over this way. It looks like only Mascelli, Koski, Persinger and myself are going so we may have to bail on this one.

Any chance of moving the Wakefield fly-in to next Saturday, March 2? I head to Hammerhead for the annual day after tomorrow; should be back for a fly-in next weekend.

It looks like the Mascelli's are out. It stinks not being instrument current let alone proficient. Not looking like a VFR day to or from.

I got to quote myself..... :) I'm trying to schedule 08R for avionics the beginning of March. Transponder upgrade, new mic cord and PTT and maybe a Garmin audio panel update. WAAS will have to wait until later in the year. I'm trying to get everything ready for the summer beach runs. Maybe someday I'll get some flight time in, if the rain and snow showers on the weekends will cease!

This is a cryin' shame, John and Alan are putting a lot of effort into our region nowadays, one of these days the weather will learn to stay away.

It is a shame Steve; I know John and Alan are working hard. However, let's never get in the mode of we have to go... that attitude has killed many pilots and many innocent passengers. Good decision Geoff, if you do not feel confident, don't go.

Due to the weather and the fact that several have indicated an availability in 2 weeks, we are rescheduling this for Saturday, March 9th. Same Bat time, Same Bat station!

OMG! Allen your showing your age, not to mention that I am as well with all that old batman info

Steve

The original Batman television show in the 60's would always sign of with, "Be sure to join us next week, same bat time, same bat channel."

Doc,

I'm in my fifties, I guess not everyone knows me (yet); I have a dry sense of humor. Trust me, when you get to know me, you'll like me... or not. I have never been to any of the movies, but I used to watch Batman in the 60's, when it was a new TV show. Just a tongue-in-cheek comment.

We will find out this summer. Sooner or later something will ground us if we live long enough. The big gamble is rather to take a chance on losing it, or just skip it and go to light sport.
