Hi folks,

Larry and Debbie Last will be hosting the Third Annual Picnic on the Flightline on Tuesday afternoon, July 27. The picnic will start at 1:30, and food will be ready at 2:30. We will have it catered again this year, with the same menu - brats, chicken, burgers, corn on the cob, and all the fixings. We'll have cookies for dessert, and beer and soft drinks to quench your thirst.

The location is at Larry and Debbie's house again, adjacent to the AirVenture grounds, with a great view of the airshow! Grab a drink, have a seat, and enjoy the show!

Same rules as the previous years, too. I need a check for $10 for each BAC member and guest. The check will be returned to you at the picnic. No-shows will forfeit their money. You can also pay at the picnic, but it will cost $15 per person. We will have an on-demand shuttle from the AirVenture grounds for those that don't drive to the picnic.

Please get your checks to me by July 16th so we can let the caterer know the head count.

There was a typo on an email I sent out - the zip was incorrect. It was 52029 and should have been 53029. It doesn't seem to be a problem as I have received several letters with the wrong zip. If you sent me a reservation and don't see your name on this list, let me know.

Guys and Gals,

I uploaded a PDF map of the AirVenture grounds and gate locations. It is in the Reference documents section of "downloads". Search on 'picnic' if you don't see it. I didn't until I did a search. Our shuttle gate is "E01". The picnic location is under the "2" in the title. If you can't download it, send me an email at: [email protected] to request a copy.

For some reason, this thread shows 'closed'. Hopefully I can still add to it. I also seem to have lost the article I posted regarding the picnic. Guess I better recheck the calendar, too. the picnic also disappeared from there once.

For a map of the Grounds and Larry's address, go to Downloads, then Articles and you will see an entry for the BAC Picnic, which has Larry's address and a PDF map of the AirVenture gates. The on-demand shuttle (BAC-mobile) will pick you up at Gate E01. There will be a sign posted at the gate with the number to call for the shuttle. If we get the same lady at the gate as we had the last two years, she is familiar with the process and very helpful!!

What are the hours for the picnic and shuttle, if indeed there are any? I would like to attend a forum that runs until 3:45 that day.

Lisa and I will be attending.
I'm taking an extra day of vacation this year and staying until Wednesday evening, so I can be sure to attend the picnic.
My check missed the 16th deadline. I suspect you'll get it tomorrow.

at the BAC tent. is there BAC parking or just the north40. ken
 
Ken,

There is no special parking for the Type Club Table, but there is parking at the BAC picnic. If you are on the AirVenture grounds, we also have an on-demand shuttle from Gate E01. The number to call for the shuttle will be posted at the gate. I have all but one slot confirmed for the Tyep Club Table. I do not have Monday afternoon confirmed, so it might be open. However, feel free to stop by any time and give the folks staffing the table a break. I'm sure they would appreciate it.
