Dinner Question: Dinner at 6pm or 7pm on Friday? The night show is also on Friday and I know many will want to attend that.

Let me know...

Went ahead and made reservations to ensure space since we are getting a large number. We have 11 confirmed for dinner and a lot of "maybe".

I made reservations for 7pm (Lakeland local time) Friday for 18 people.

Sam Seltzer's in Lakeland

Please confirm your spot or stop by the type tent table to sign the sheet.

If you find anything "Duchess" worthy please grab it as I'm stuck in TN. Been looking for a better tow bar as well.

I saw some video clips making it clear why they call the place "Lakeland."

There wer people pushing airplanes out of water up to the axles and tents pitched in ankle deep puddles.

Going to be windy today. Going great with nice Florida Sunshine. We had 16 at dinner last night. Some good deals and not so good deals. All depends on what you are looking for.

Got home VFR real quick yesterday thanks to a nearly 50 kt tailwind. Overall flight time from Winter Haven, FL to Caldwell, NJ was a little over 6 hours. Stopped in Monck's Corner, SC (50J) for gas - great place and low prices. Then raced the advancing front and landed in Norfolk, VA to sit out the approaching TSs - nice big boomers. After sheltering from the storm for 2 hours along with an SR22 driver and Billy Ray Cyrus who was waiting for a Citation crew, the skies cleared and we launched for home. Too bad Steve Cote went home so early - we might have been able to get to Barnes  !

Packed up the chairs and BAC TCC table materials and went home today (Sunday). IFR in rain starting out; very weird and rough weather enroute, but no TSs. Driving to the mountains tomorrow with Paula and friends. Returning home on the 17th, to hop in Sunny Beech and fly to Tullahoma that same afternoon.

Dinner crew photos posted under Southeast gallery.

Who knows, maybe next year we can have over 20 people. We are growing for dinner each year (numbers and size). :)
