Step Right Up

Around The Moon
And take a leadership role in BAC.

We have elections for all officer and director positions in BAC coming up in about two weeks. So far we have only one nominee each for 10 of the elected positions and no nominees for two of the positions.

This Club is what you make it. Step up and help make BAC even better than it is now.

Since I first posted the news article Paul Shuch as stepped up to run for NE RD. So the only two posts with NO candidates are NW RD and Intl. RD.

We'd like to see more candidates for all spots so we can actually elect someone.

Besides I don't want Chris to get too big a head.

Just bumping this up.

With 11 days remaining for open nominations we still have two spots with no candidate and the rest only have one candidate.

Let's have a race, at least for some of the spots.

Someone else asked what's involved with being a Regional Director. I provided a little more, as follows:

Duties of Regional Director

This is what the Bylaws say:
SECTION 2 -DUTIES OF DIRECTORS

Regional Directors – The Regional Directors shall be responsible for organizing fly-ins and other events in their regions and reporting on these events to the Newsletter Editor.

That probably needs to be expanded. The RDs attend Board meetings. All of these have been by conference call except for a Board breakfast meeting at BAC Fest each of the last two years. They are quarterly with a very rare in between meeting. We usually try to hold them to an hour. On the few rare occasions when we didn’t cover everything we scheduled another meeting within a few weeks. You would have a toll free dial in code and you would dial in and be connected.
There is also some e-mail correspondence between Board members with some “meetings” (votes taken on specific issues) by e-mail.
You would also have to report PT points for the fly-ins in your region.
