Flight Levels
I know this is a short notice, but I'm in Chicago over the weekend anyone want to come on in to Schaumburg Rgnl I'm 15 minutes away with ground transportation. Pilot Petes restaurant is on the field but it is closed til the 19th. Give me a call 336-602-4750

Truthfully I hope next week is the last week I will ever spend in this area. I was trying to find a fishing guide in the area, nope. Closest one was two hours away. I did go to Schaumburg and hang out for a while. Very nice place and friendly people, didn't take them long to get over my southern accent. Of course I poured it on thick just to aggravate. I talk to Steve Powers this morning, he was thinking about coming in but got socked in with fog of the river. Met some nice guys there is a flight school there who is charging $180 hr. for a Twin Comanche. I think that's prity good considering the flight school across the lobby from him is charging that for a C172.
 
Don, give a shout the next time you're in this area. I need to color Illinois into my states visited map.

Didn't want to check luggage so I thought I would catch up with a local guide and get some info on the area and rent some gear. There's nothing in these big cities for me. I have caught up on some drinking sense I've been here.
 
Pilot Petes has reopen at (06C) now. Very good food and service. If I didn't live so far away I would be back. Maybe when I fly to Oshkosh I'll make this my staging airport for my a.m. arrival.
 
There is a Sundowner and a Musketeer tied up on the ramp. Both look to be on good airworthy condition from the fence. I couldn't make out the "N" numbers on either.
