Flight Levels
This Saturday, June 16 is the scheduled fly-for-lunch in Kentucky. Rough River state park in western Kentucky (2I3 - two india three) has a great buffet on the weekends. The lodge is a short walk from the airstrip.

Plan to arrive between 11:30 and noon (central time) and we'll head for the lodge shortly after noon. If anyone prefers not to walk the quarter mile, the lodge will send a car to the airstrip.

BAC members eat FREE! Bring your appetite.

Brad,

Hope to make it, but I through my back out this past weekend and trying to get everything back in line. Guess I am getting too old to jump large waves on the waverunner. :(

Tiny,

You need to go up to Rough River and then make it to Lambert's so you can fatten up a little. Need more mass to punch through those waves on the waverunner.

Cloyd

That was the problem Cloyd. I have a very large 3 person model that weighs about 800 lbs (over 1000 lbs with me on it). My friends were chicken and followed in my wake. They even complained about how rough it was. After I went "under water" for the third time from the waves I knew I was in trouble. Finally able to sleep laying down thanks to Spine Doc. Hope it is all well in time. Still hurts sitting at the office.

Weather is shaping up to be a great day to fly on Saturday. Hope to see the Rough River ramp filled with BAC-mobiles.

We had great weather and a nice crowd at Rough River today. Paul Dobosz from Noblesville, Indiana flew down in his Skipper and Musketeer owners Michael & Vernon Lemmons flew in from Tennessee. Michael lives in Springfield and Vernon in Goodlettsville. From 27K, Mark and Angela Carroll joined us in their Cherokee 140 and 3 of my family members, Ann, Laurie and Whitney joined me in the Sundowner for the festivities.

Southeast and lower East Central members watch for next month's posting. We'll be going to Owensboro, KY for Moonlite Barbecue.

I was looking forward to the Rough River outing, but something with work kept me in Indianapolis until about 1:00 pm. I've flown into Rough River for lunch before, and was looking forward to taking my wife along this time.

I'll try again in July. I flew into Owensboro for the first time this past Thursday on business. I didn't eat at Moonlight then, but have in the past. Very good BBQ.

I parked at Modern Jet and filled up with self service 100 LL for $3.75 per gallon.

I'm glad everyone had a good time.
