Pop-Up Fly-In Lancaster PA KLNS 27OCT12

where did an Arrow come from ???? LOL...last time i looked, it was the BEECH Aero club...not Piper.....anyway jk

David (or jk?),

I think you posted in the wrong thread. I used 122.7 for my initial post to compare the Sierra with current production airplanes. The Arrow just happens to be the only one in the Sierra's class that is still in production..... if you can call it that. I think if you follow the thread you will see, it's all about the Sierra.

Wow I can feel the love. I am a card carrying member of BAC, and I'd rather fly someone else's Arrow than not fly :)

Absolutely !!!
:)

My TAF is out - not looking so hot - I'm MVFR until noon... As always - I'll keep posting my intentions here up until I launch or abort...

Regards,
Scott

Marty, I think that an Arrow is planning on attending this fly in... But that's arrows running in 2 threads at the same time, a bit unusual BAC here!

I can see this coming, 5 years from now when I have a Sierra, I will still be known as the 'Arrow Guy'. :) Might as well start making the shirts now.

I am sending "Sandy", a really nasty ex-girlfried who ruined my trip to Key West this weekend up north for your fly-in. Treat her with the respect she deserves, a real blowhard she is.

David,

Didn't see the previous posing on the Arrow in this thread. Not to worry, we've had Cardinals, Skylanes, Bonanza's Seneca's show up at our fly-ins that were flown by members. You don't need a tee shirt, just a Sierra.

Olsen is to blame for any storm damage in the Northeast. I hope his lawyer malpractise insurance is paid in full!

Morn'n Folks,

It's not looking good for me this morning... Forecasts have me MVFR all day and with the storm coming - I don't think I'll be able to make it... Il keep an eye on the weather though....
:(

Scott

Hey Guys, I was just kidding about the Arrow....Geez
Hey Scott, 2 for 2 lately, first Kobelt now Lancaster. Are you sure you don't have a black cloud hanging over you?
(I'm just kidding, but sure this post will bring some grief....)

Hi Dave,

OMG - I just had a scary thought - I could be the new Steve Cote with the "Cote Curse" (sorry Steve)... Man - if I get weathered out one more time - I'm doomed... LOL - if it wasn't for weather - I would have had all kinds of hours this year... I think we should throw more of these events on the board - as I was really looking forward to hooking up at Lancaster this AM... A BAC event is such a great excuse to meet at some airport you may not have even thought about doing on your own... I've always enjoyed going - but honestly - so few members really go... I'll keep trying...
:)

We're really concerned about the storm as well - as Jackie's home has flooded twice before - the last time was about 75k out of pocket... It's not really in a flood zone - just a spot in the middle of a hill where the water tends to accumulate - with poor municipal drainage... We had to gut her home as we had more than 3 feet throughout the entire house - which is only a few years old... Supposedly - the city of Yonkers improved the drainage - we'll see... Now we have flood insurance - but - I don't plan on sleeping much...

Regards,
Scott

Not so sure I'm going to try it. If the TAF's are to be believed its doable, but that requires trusting the ceiling to not come down any, which the AF puts in doubt. The Susquehanna can kill visibility and ceiling dependent on temp and I have been shut out (or in before).

Need to get my own bird so I can getIFR again.

Have fun !!!

If this doesn't happen today - we really need to reschedule - seems as this one had a bit of interest and it's location seems conveniently accessible for many members...

Scott

Im going to head to the airport in case you guys decide to make it in. Ill be at the restaurant, ill let the hostess know to look at for BAC members. Hope to see some of you there. Currently broken 2800 and overcast at 3500 on the field with 8 mile visibility.
