OK! This is approved by Tom Corcoran, the NERD (Northeast Regional Director).
March 9th and 10th

Women In Aviation, a worthy group of women with a big mission, bringing more of our sisters into the aviation family, is holding the "Fly It Forward" celebration.
These events are being held throughout North America and, here, at Northampton Airport. There will be intro rides for ladies age 6 and up. There will be static displays and the "99's" will be on hand.

  • Come on out to this charming airport in the lovely Connecticut River Valley.
  • Meet fellow Mouse Drivers
  • Meet interesting women.
  • Walk on in to historic Northampton and try one of the many great restaurants.

AND...it'll get you one of the prized "Beech Bum" tee shirts!!

For info check out the 7B2 website (fly7B2.com)

Steve, if there was any way I could make this event, I would. My late wife, Mary Z. McBurney was a 99, past President and founding member of the Profession Women Controllers Association, private pilot, my best friend of 33 years, and probably a best friend of 100s of people. She was the first female to graduate from OK City after the strike, and spent 20+ years with the FAA as a FPL controller including the FAA's Senior Executive Service before breast cancer took her 2 weeks before 9/11. I miss her terribly and I write this with the full knowledge and support of my wonderful wife Charlotte and another of Mary's friends. Go Girls!!!

You will be there in spirit, Rap. Rest assured.

And, Ken, come on up. If you feel like it we'll let you fly some of the ladies around. ;)

(Now, guys, that's NOT why we're inviting you. But...we have some 55 women pre-registered for both days.)
