Lunch at Branch County Memorial, (KOEB) Coldwater, MI - Oct. 19, 2013

Tried to make it but ran into a wall of clouds and rain 15 miles south of Grand Rapids. Flew East to Lansing to try to go around the rain but no luck. Turned around and went back to Sparta. At least I got an hour flight in today! So not a total lost. Hope we plan another one soon.
 
I had that happen once trying to make a fly in Bo was hosting in Texas (about 2006), I finally realized that the wall of clouds was getting closer and closer until I was about up on it, and it seemed to extend in both directions as far as I could see...

How are you liking the sport?
 
Overall I am really enjoying the sport. I am also learning a lot about being a plane owner. BAC has helped a lot! Just found out I will need to replace the oil and fuel hoses next annual and I really should get new donuts.…. I certainly do not understand why these are not more popular aircraft.
 
Sadly my Sierra did not make it out of maintenance and therefore I did not make lunch at OEB Saturday. Hopefully there will be another opportunity soon to meet other owners and fellow BAC's.
