Michigan lovers here is your opportunity. I have been told this will be the first East Central fly-in. Larry Newland will be our host. According to Larry the restaurant is in the big hangar next to the taxiway. We will have to park in the grass near the hangar. Arrive by 11:30am EDT. I will update as more information becomes available.

Hi Folks,

First one ? Very cool... All I can say is I really enjoy the fly-in events - but - so few of us ever partake - hope some new people get the chance to try one out ! For what it's worth - ANYONE - can call a fly-in - so if you have some place in mind or a favorite haunt - talk to your regional director and get them on the calendar... It gives people an opportunity to visit a place they may have never thought of trying before... It's so easy a caveman could do it...
:)

Regards,
Scott

Well said Scott. Bob Schmidt does not recall having one in Michigan. It has been one of my goals this year. I hope we have a good turn out.

Excellent timing. Rhonda and I will plan on attending the fly-in. We will be flying from 8D4.

The Sundowner is down for annual and I'm not sure it will be ready in time. I'll know more tomorrow. Would love to make it.

Looks as if my Sierra will make it out of the shop by the weekend and providing no complications (from the work) I plan to attend and look forward to meeting other members.

My annual is complete, Now I have to make sure I don't have to help my son-in-law with some electrical work in his garage. Right now the weather looks good here for Saturday.

I flew the plane back from Virginia this past Sunday and if the weather cooperates We will be there for lunch!

50% percent chance of rain with possible mixed rain/snow forecast for me. Hopefully the forecast will change (again!).

Sounds fun to fly in a little snow. able to maintain vfr and all that... It's always pretty cool to find a good shower and get the windshield washed off.

We still on for tomorrow? I am planning on arriving at 1130 in N2395W. Weather doesn't look great but still flyable VFR 4000' and 5 SM with rain.
