Sorry to make a last minute change in venue. I got a call this evening (8/25/26) from Bob Schmidt. Janesville is having an Air Show this weekend. I checked NOTAMs and the airport's website beforehand. The website still does not list any upcoming events. However, the NOTAMs have been updated for the air show.

Bob and I talked it over. If you were planning to attend. Bob knows of an airport within a short distance of Janesville, East Troy Municipal (57C). A short drive from the airport is a restaurant that he has been to, LD's BBQ. Arrive by 11:00am CDT and join us for lunch. Bob and I will provide the transportation from the airport to the restaurant.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

I wish I was free to attend a Wisconsin fly-in. I'll be stuck on Cape Cod this weekend but doing happy family things.
John Redmond (Aviator) and I were roommates for a Sun-N'-Fun. He's very neat. Quiet.
Bob Schmidt (rgschmi) cooked a pig for us at the Oshkosh BACFest. I have a video somewhere.
I thought I was the oldest member of BAC but Bob Schmidt has meet beat by a little. Stay healthy Bob.

Wisconsin is almost as good as Massachusetts to fly for fun. We have 38 public use airports from the ocean to our mountains.

Can’t make this one… and was really looking forward to it. Airplane didn’t make it out of the shop with a leaking mag gasket.

See you tomorrow, Bob. Looking forward to seeing everyone that can make it. LD' is 0.8 miles away. So, it will be a short drive from the airport.

Bob and I were the only two BAC members in attendance. For those that could not attend, you missed the best barbecue I have ever had. We both had their #1 sandwich the Combo, 1/2 sliced pork, 1/2 sliced brisket. Ribs-n-Beans as a side and banana pudding as a dessert. The banana pudding was delicious. We saw a lot of people ordering carryout for parties and just for themselves. I know this was a short notice switch because of the air show at Janesville. I am really thinking of planning another fly-in to East Troy (57C) again. The meal was that good. While Bob and I were there, we discussed a possible Alaska trip that I have been wanting to do for a long time. We also entered a contest giving away an Icon i40X street legal LSV (golf cart). All proceeds go to support Band of Blue. Pretty sharp ride.
