KOSU (Ohio State University) Fly-in on April 18th

I'm getting very excited about this..........it will be my first ever adventure after getting my PPL!!!!

Now to keep the weather gods happy!!!!!!

Sam

Bob, Looks like Larry will be riding with you to OSU on Saturday!!!!!! After we flight plan tomorrow, I will give him a call to tell him the time to meet.

The weather is looking really awesome for this!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

Sam

Last Call for the KOSU fly-in tomorrow the 18th! Looks like the weather will cooperate for a change, too.

Meet at 11:30 or so at Barnstormers! You can taxi right to the restaurant and park in front.

See you there!

Dan,

Myself and my rider will only be staying for the lunch portion of the fly-in. Due to the weather forecast for Sunday we are going to eat lunch at OSU and leave from there direct to Sun n' Fun. Can anyone tell me of a cheaper fuel stop South of KOSU $4.65 is a little too expensive. Thanks see everyone tomorrw at OSU.

Jack

Jeez, we'll be wheels up at 7:00 AM (Central time). Two planes, five souls on board, three BACers, two guests.

Try Airnav.com for fuel prices. Look for cheapest routes. The fuel prices are updated regularly. That's what I'm using for our flight.

Bob

I can't believe it. Hydraulic fluid all over the bottom of my Sierra. Looks like I will be tearing out the inside in search of the leak instead of enjoying the flight over. %$#*
Enjoy your lunch. Tom

Success ':D'

The weather cooperated for a change, and we had 13 people and five BAC airplanes at the fly-in. One cancellation because of work and another because of a mechanical issue prevented an even higher turnout.

A great lunch, a tour of the facilities, including the maintenance hangar and the flight school (cool flight simulators!). And we had a chance to see some new faces and meet old friends. This was the first BAC event for at least three members. Hope to see you at more BAC events!

I forgot to put the memory card in my camera, so I'll rely on those with better memory (pun intended), to post on the website or send them to me to post.

Thanks, Dan for putting this together!

Hello, My name is Sam and I am an official Musketeer flying junkie.....................(everyone else) "Hello, Sam!"

I flew to OSU with my friend Jeff inside with me and my other friend Bob flying the Sundowner with two other peeps........we had a great flight down. This was the first time that I had flown to ANYWHERE!!!! and the first time in fourteen years for my A23-19 to have gone anywhere also..........The airplane ran flawlessly, I am very impressed with it. And considering that my Musketeer has a climb pitch prop, the speeds were not too aweful bad.

I got a real taste of flying long distance (to me) and I can now look forward to the trip to BAC Fest!!!!!

Here are some pics of yesterdays adventure.

Hey, Sam!

Glad you enjoyed the trip. Great pics! We definitely need to do this again, preferably before BAC Fest!

Kinda cool to go from Wisconsin to Ohio just for lunch, just because you can, isn't it!
