Flight Levels
Fly into Bolton Field on Saturday May 19 and join us at JP's Barbeque Ribs and Chicken located on the field. Restaurant opens at 12:00 noon. Arrive by 11:45am EDT so we can go in as a group. This is some great barbecue ribs and chicken so don't miss out. http://www.jpsbbq.com/bolton.asp

John, count me in! I'll probably bring a few others from 27K because they know how great the ribs and bbq chicken are at JP's. Will plan to arrive between 11:30 and 11:45. They will also pack a great "to go" box, so everyone should plan to take some food back home for Sunday!

Somewhere outside Columbus, a fine hog has made the ultimate sacrifice so we can have fresh pork barbecue Saturday afternoon! Beans and apples will begin slow cookin' tomorrow afternoon. Time to start your flight planning!

Hey Scott, I'm thinking about flying out to Clearfield for breakfast and back to Bolton Field for lunch. You can follow me back for some of that fine barbecue. Brad, Larry, Dan see you on Saturday.

Hi John,

Man - sandwiches like THAT - are one of my favorites... Gotta love pig... It's probably a little further than I want to go for a "burger" hop - as that puts me into the 8 hours flight time ball park... Had I thought ahead - and - noticed the weather reports I would have taken Friday off and stayed overnight... In addition - my plane is just out of annual (hopefully - as of today) and this will be the first real flight to check for problems... I plan on doing a brief but thorough post maintenance flight this evening when I get home from work... I'm going to make it out to your region one of these days... I can almost taste it from here... Can you guys send "doggie bags" from Bolton ???
:)

Regards,
Scott

Brad,

Paris, KY - that's only about an hour by air to Bardstown (BRY) where they have the Kentuckey Bourben Fest. What a good time that was - you guys in that area know how to BBQ,

We try to do our best with the BBQ Peter, but Bourbon reins supreme around here! I usually avoid flying to the Bourbon Festival. Too hard to see all those fine bourbons and not partake! The RD up in your neck of the woods, Tom Corcoran, has come to appreciate some of our state's finer exports. Next time you see him at a fly-in, ask for a sample.....he doesn't leave home without it!

I hope to drive over. I joined beechaeroclub because I liked the planes and wanted to learn more about them. I have never seen one up close, sorry to say. Would you guys mind showing off your planes to a newb?

Best,
Gary

Hi Gary,

Welcome to BAC !!! Pilots - show off their planes - never... Just kidding - its probably everyone's favorite pastime... These are great planes - just be warned - it's really hard to go back to flying a C172 after trying these... I hope you make it and have a good time...

Regards,
Scott

Crap! Every time I see a great event comin up, I always have somethin going on.... :( Well, gotta fly young eagles. Pancakes and sausage aint no comparison to drippin bbq, but I enjoy flying the kids.

Great turnout today at Bolton Field. Dan Kirby, Larry Newland, John Redmon and Brad Mitchell flew their planes, plus three more from 27K. Fourteen people total. Tremendous flying weather and great food!

Boy, we actually took a tour of Maker's Mark distillery - almost got drunk from the fumes.

I did end up with part of the 4 Roses display tent - bought it from a guy with the reddist nose I've ever seen. He had it signed bt everyone at 4 Roses, including the President, on the back. It hangs on my Family room wall.
