Climbing to Cruise
Lunch opportunity for mice and men. Hilltop Lakes is having their annual fly-in at their airport on Saturday, September 27, 2008 from 0900-1PM. The airport is on the Houston sectional about 30 NM NNE of College Station which makes it no more than an hour and one half flight from many central Texas members in San Antonio, Austin, DFW, and Houston. The identifier is 0TE4, and here is the announcement website.

Note that the Aggies are playing Army at home that day, so Easterwood field in College Station will be busy so plan fuel accordingly. Weather should be VFR all over central Texas Saturday (unlike New England) and since Steve Cote is not involved, should stay that way! Hoping to get there, and perhaps see some BAC pilots also.

Charlie, Thanks for the invitation and keep them coming. I left San Antonio on Friday, headed home and had not been on the BAC website for several days.

The South Central Region was super active when I started on my museum project/hangar queen. And this year it has been very quite out there.

Charlie:

Wish I'd seen this sooner. We flew to Ft Worth Spinks late yesterday afternoon and that would have been a great place to stop off and meet new friends. Keep posting those Texas opportunities and we'll make another one some day.
