I liked Columbus. That was my refueling stop last year on the way to Oshkosh. Nice restaurant. I thought it sounded familiar.

We had a great turn out. Three members and three guests. One Sundowner and a Super III on the field. For Bob Trader and Bryant Balash this was their first East Central BAC fly-in. Tom Bragg was able to find takers for some of his aviation items. Discussions during our meal included Oshkosh, BACFest, and Beech Party. Bob and Bryant said they both will be attending Oshkosh this year. Bob liked the idea of being able to camp at Beech Party. Hopefully we will see him there this year. Bryant brought along his 10 year old twin daughters Abbie and Maddie. Bryant and his wife have four children. Having a four-seater aircraft they have to take turns who gets to fly. Bryant and his wife are both pilots. I learned Abbie wants to be a controller. The future of aviation relies on today's youth.

Next events for the East Central Region will be at Oshkosh. Ice Cream Social on Monday and the BAC Picnic on Thursday. Look on the calendar for dates and times. I hope to see you there.
