Endicott, NY - KCZG

Hi Steve,

I'm going to try - forecast has the weather improving...
My first fly-in...
:)

Regards,
Scott

I was planning to fly in from Ontario but changed my mind. The potential of problems at the border just didn't make it worthwhile. Although I have the decal and electronic manifest login the $5000 fine for being 15 minutes off ETA is a bit too scary for just an overnight trip.

Steve,
Speaking as an (embarassed) US citizen, I apologize for the many road blocks we have placed between us and our Canadian brothers and sisters. In my opinion none of this enhances security for either of our countries.

Having said that, I hope that, with enough lead time, you will be able to find a way to join us at BAC Fest in October. Gatlinburg, TN is the site and we expect to have a great time.

This is exactly what our gummint wants. Oh sure, you can do it, but the potential cost makes it prohibitive.

We must take our country back from the ruling class.

Les!!

If I had said that there would be a howl about "that kinda pinko guy in Massachusetts". (Remember the guff I got about "the Shrub"? )

But I agree. I am deeply disappointed in the Obama administration for continuing this crap about VIP TFR's. Not to mention that all we are getting out of Napolitano's DHS is the same fascist crap we have always gotten.

We had a great time at Tri-Cities Airport, Endicott NY. The Tri-Cities Pilots' Assoc. welcomed us with great BBQ chicken and other goodies.
Our hosts were Ron and Betty Feher and Carlton and Marilyn Chapel. They are homeboys at CZG, with great looking aircraft! (You should see the Aspen installation Ron has. I'm jealous.)

Scott Brunner, a new Sundowner owner came to his first fly-in from Orange County NY. He was accompanied by his friend Jackie...and she's a cool gal.

There are another Sundowner and a Skipper on the field. The former is not a member and we are working on the latter, belonging to a new flight school.

Thanks again...great day, great flight, great feed. Success!

All,

Just a thanks to - Ron / Betty Feher - and - Carlton / Marilyn Chapel - and - all the folks at Tri-City... Fly-In was very nice - the food and hospitality great... Chicken in a trash can - gotta luv it... Jackie had a good time too... If you ever go to Tri-City - umm - err - the runway is hiding behind the hill... LOL... Glad to see Steve flying again and a pleasure finally meeting him face to face... I had an opportunity to see an Aspen untit operate first hand in Ron's beautiful Sundowner - man - some paint job too... Very impressive...

Arrgh - Monday - back to work...

Scott
