EARLY ARRIVALS - BACfest 2016 - Musketeers Unite!

Around The Moon
All,

I am starting a new thread for corresponding about arriving early and our potential plans. All flexible, all fun, and .... who knows? So, for those catching a great tailwind .... or those planning an extra day or so, here goes:

Please add your name if you will arrive in time to meet for supper on Wednesday, say about 5:00 pm -ish. Of course, if you plan to pull in sooner, share that as well if you wish. We'll make a composite list and get together (or maybe know who to avoid :D !!) when we arrive. Of course, since I am continuing the list started by Tom, he gets to be on top!

Tom and Margie - - (driving from Dallas)
Nelson - - (driving, with my sad face pressed against your side window if I see a pre-start checklist underway!)
Paul W. - flying
Chris N. (of course - - our smiling host)
Michael D. (flying in from CO ?)

I should arrive either very late Tuesday or mid-morning Wednesday. If we have enough airplane drivers, we might plan a quick flying trip for the early birds (Gastons?) just to get used to the area on Wednesday.

Thanks in advance for your input and suggestions. Eventually this thread will have a "wrap up" with all of the names and cell phone numbers so we can coordinate an activity with a contact list. At the very least, we can meet up Thursday morning at the airport and heckle the arrivals!

Rule #1 - - - this may not add any work to Chris N. !!!! If fact, let's be a resource to help if needed. Musketeers unite!

Linda and I are planning on going to the Dixie Stampede on Wednesday evening. It is a dinner and performance. It is pricey at about $50, but the food is not bad. The performance is spectacular. I suggest that anyone who is going to be there Wednesday evening consider going with us. We have seen it once before and are excited to see it again. By the way, we will be flying in Tuesday evening.

Weather permitting, I will arrive Wednesday afternoon, BAC style. I'll be leaving from my sister's place in Camdenton, Mo, so it's a whole 85nm flight! I can arrive any time if would be convenient for someone to meet me at the airport.

Am I doing something wrong or is the main BACfest schedule and attendee list missing? I looked at it a week ago, but can't find it today....

No, you are not doing anything wrong and you are not in the Twlight Zone. Yours truly added a new attendee (2 actually) and hit apply and save, like I have done many times before, and presto... it was different this time. I have help trying to fix it. I have 3 more to add to this but for some reason I'm a bit afraid to touch it again (gosh, after last time I don't know why!).

Here is the list as it was before I "added" to it. Sorry. MD

Time to update our "possible early arrivals" list. Yeah! :)

Ideally, we all add our approximate arrival time and contact phone number. But, not a requirement since I realize this is a public forum. Here goes ..... my attempt at copy / paste / update.

I would enjoy landing (er .... driving) in town and looking forward to a simple fun lunch with the other early arrivals who are in town on Wednesday, let's say about 1:00 pm. Then we can swarm the hotel with full tummies. Your feedback on a meeting spot .... or I can make a wild guess on internet info.

Our fun times are approaching fast !!
