Denton, TX (DTO) gathering.

I would suggest we give him 1 mile if he taxis his plane to the UA Aviation ramp. :P

I'd go along with that, Bo! It would add another plane to the excellent photograph of all the "mice" gathered at the show!

Chris & Bo,

The generosity of this group has hit a new low!!!

1 mile! The runway is longer than a mile! I should at least get the length of the runway!

Long gone are the days of a "kinder-gentler" BAC Leadership. Someone pull that Loozanna politician out of the gutter, wake him up and dust him off. And that son of a magneto rebuilder, too.

I do not want to bring up the "impeachment" word so early in the terms of your incumbency (especially considering how lucky we are to have you both serving us!!!). But your prodding on the subject of my ugly duckling's attendance to this event, leaves me speechless (first time ever in the history of the world).

It is no coincidence, that I am very interested in the on going lighting topic now on the website. Because a friend told me, my aircraft should only be flown at night! If you know what he meant by that statement.

I am "PRETTY" sure my aircraft is not ready for photos just yet! Please understand that it is almost impossible to mention, my aircraft and the word "PRETTY", in 2 consecutive statements like I have just done.

I am after all, just a lowly aircraft mechanic. And it is a lowly aircraft mechanic's airplane. :D :D

I'll wash the Corvette and drive it over you can take pictures of it.

Bill-

Too funny! I don't think you could convince the benevolent 'Cloyd-ster' to relinquish his death grip on the strap he is hanging on to!

Drive, walk, taxi, crawl...we don't care how you get there, just get there!

Chris

The &^%%$ weather!

Tomorrow is forecast to be high of 56, winds 20-30, gusting to 35-40. out of the north! Giving wind chills in the 30s.

You up there in the frozen north may not have a problem with the temp, but that wind forecast is brutal. Not conducive to fun flying.

I have just talked with Justin (The US AV contact), and we think the best bet is to postpone until next month. That would be 3/28.

%$*%&^

WE'll see y'all then.

Bo

Good call, Bo. Flying is fun but being inside a pitching and rolling plane is about like riding inside a washing machine. Will see you next month--schedule permitting.

Fly-In

We were really looking forward to this but the postponement is great - we might actually have our airplane by then! Currently under contract for an A24R Sierra. Don't know which is worse - walking or driving....

Yeah. It is so windy the birds are walking today.

It is not a Steve Cote WX melt down, but after a short "fright" (Japanese for flight) you would be glad to be safe on the ground with your aircraft in one piece.

Welcome to BAC and South Central, Chandra. Look forward to meeting y'all. Maybe 3/28 at DTO.
Hope y'all get the Sierra, those be nice birds. Will you base at Kickapoo?

Hi group. Guess I didn't get the message as Patty and I DID make the trip from Brownsville to Denton Friday afternoon. Wx was not all that bad going up but did have headwind most of the way. The ramp was noticably absent of Beech except for our Sierra.

The was a really good display of new light sport aircraft which I really enjoyed.

Either way we still had an enjoyable trip which got really fast coming back down home. Saw 175 kts ground speed at 8500 and I was powered back and leaned lop. Winds were gusting up to 38 when we took off on an absolutely great short field take off.

Sorry we didn't get to meet other BACers up there.

Good to back down in warmer country.
