I'm not going to make it, sorry. Got tied up at work until noon and still too much to do for the weekend including a fair bit of long deferred must finish like the BACFest registration. Sorry all,

Well it was Marty and I. We did an install for the new I PAD. I made a bracket that makes it a good fit in the Sierra's. We took pics before, during and finished install. It worked out very well. We will post soon. We did this with some help from our friends at the Burbank airport maintenance center. We then went to lunch around 2 pm. That rounded things up. Sorry for the guys that called and said they couldn't make it (it was the worse weather I have seen in my 10 days out here. Marty decided to start back east with me and we are in Lake Havasu, Az tonight. I will try to get as far back home (m33, Tn) tomorrow. Probably won't make it because of afternoon build ups.

Sorry to the hear that the weather didn't cooperate. From your post it sounds like you definitely didn't make Catalina and didn't make Chino either. Nothing like lovely Burbank for an afternoon of avionics!

Chris, You're right. Weather kept us on the ground until hunger forced us to lunch in Burbank. Too bad the other guys were weathered in (marine layer in S.D and fog/low ceilings in the South San Joaquin valley. Would have been good to see Mark and Rich again. We did get the iPad mounted in Ed's Sierra. Glad I brought a screwdriver.

By the way, if any one visits Burbank, park at Million Air. The courtesy car is a new BMW 535!

When I was younger, I always wanted a nice BMW..... now I don't care much about the "W".

Chris, actually I personally made it to both places earlier in the week. Both are worth a second visit( there has to be close to 100 airplanes for sale at Chino( we drove around the airport looking). Will post pics of install when I get home ( 9 hours of flight time today-about 3 1/2 till home).
