BACFest 2017

I don't want to commit to an arrival yet. Don't want to give the weather gods any warning; you know how much they like me.

Hello Tom,

Planning on going to the BACFest :)

What airport and FBO will we be using?
NEW BEDFORD REGIONAL AIRPORT (KEWB)

Just made the hotel reservations. Is there a schedule for activities?
YES! ZILLIONS. TO BE POSTED SOON. THERE WILL BE NO REST.

Thanks! YOU'RE WELCOME. YOU WERE SMART TO ARRIVE EARLY.

AS FOR WEATHER, PAUL WERBIN IS IN CHARGE OF THAT.

Occasionally New Bedford airport might have very poor weather since it is right on the coast of new England. For those pilots that are flying VFR keep in mind that just a very few miles inland there might be a really excellent weather even if New Bedford is not good weather.

Arriving by Mouse on the 20th. I may change that to an earlier arrival; sounds like too much fun to just arrive on Wednesday. Can't wait!

BAC FEST ATTENDEES:

1. Marty and maybe Claudia Vanover
Can we change that to Claudia and maybe Marty?

Anybody want to do some early arrival fly-outs? 3 State Challenge, Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, Block Island, Provincetown, etc...?

The Mascelli's plan

We are arriving Saturday (OWD) and visiting with family and friends in Boston and into New Hampshire. We are returning Tuesday to check in at New Bedford and head out on a road trip to Cape Cod. We will be flying over to Nantucket Wednesday and Martha's vineyard Thursday for day long excursions. Then return for BACFest.

I am definitely in for an early arrival. DRWHITE - - - Martha's Vineyard sounds like a thumbs up to me. Let's go spend some money!! !

Alan,

Yes, pre-Fest fly-outs sound great. With my workschedule, so far I'm planning a Wednesday arrival. Once I get my Sept schedule fine-tuned on Aug 15, I hope to plan a Monday or Tuesday arrival.

Linda and I will be flying commercial from Denver to Providence arriving on Sunday, Sep. 17th. We plan to do some ground touring but have not done much research to figure out just what yet. We will depart the following Sunday, Sep. 24th.

For the benefit of people from Nebraska who are flying to BACFest from Colorado, and other not-near-the-ocean types... I have made a list of some things to do before/after the Fest. See "SIDE TRIPS" in other threads and articles. You could easily fill up a couple weeks.

I got the email about registering for BACFest this morning. And I did so. But I had to register twice, once for me and once for Robin. The page did not adjust the registration fee when I entered Robin as a guest and I couldn't find anyway to change it. (I also had to use a different email address on the second time through since it uses that to determine if you're already registered.)

It may need a tweak to fix that or instructions for adding spouses.
