BAC to the Bahamas December 20,2014

Headed to Andromeda
It looks like we have some interest in another Bahamas trip so I will get this on the calendar.
December 20 arrival at Andros Island, Mangrove Cay Airport for a few days of fun at http://www.seascapeinn.com/ . Seascape Inn is a very quiet but clean small outisland "Resort" with reasonable prices and a maximum capacity of ten guests. Andros is a very short flight from Florida and a great place for bonefishing, snorkeling etc. I would be happy to help with travel plans and paperwork for anyone that wants help.

If anyone else will be in the Bahamas Between Dec 19 and 28 drop me a note. I will be flying around some of my favorite spots.

I was just wondering if anyone is enjoying the USA weather today? 85 and sunny here with the Bonefish biting nicely.... not rubbing it in or anything.... just wondering.

I figured I might as well summarize this trip and finish it up.
The trip was great. 17 flight hours all together including visits in Florida and the island hopping. In the islands I visited MYAK, MYNN, MYES, and MYEH airports. Cleared US customs at FT Pierce FL (KFPR) in minutes without problems. Had a flat nose wheel on landing which took a bit to get fixed.
I used the Bahamas promotion board pilot special for a $300 discount at Nathan's Lodge on Andros. So the bill there for 4 nights, food, inclusive was $330.00 Not bad for a great break from reality.
I am hoping for a spring Bahamas trip too and maybe we could get a few BACers out there enjoying the quiet beaches.

Thanks for the update Paul. Flying trip to the Bahamas is on my bucket list. Maybe one of these years me and the wife will be able to tag along.

I made one of the trips. It was a pretty good time. The weather was great, until I got back to Jacksonville on January 1st. January 2nd was clear, but cold. I found my airplane covered in frost! Some biz jet got to Cecil Field ahead of me and used all the de-ice fluid (spray cans). I had to wait until 10:00 am to get the stuff off. But, the Bahamas trip held some great memories. We had a good bunch of BAC'ers there.
