Join us for lunch at the Hangar 5 Restaurant and a free museum tour (KBAK) Columbus, IN. Both are located on the field. Arrive by 11:30am EDT for lunch (they do serve breakfast all day), followed by the optional museum tour.

For those that were interested in Self-Serve fuel. The pin drop is where the pump is located. Parking on the ramp is located out in front of the terminal building (airplane symbol). The restaurant is just inside.

Had an excellent day of flying yesterday for the fly in. While we made a couple of stops, ended up with 6 hours of flying yesterday. I am really starting to think I need a faster plane! 95-100kts cruise in the sport is just not enough for real cross country, (especially with a 15kt head wind) plus the lack of climb performance. I guess I am going to have to start looking for a super or a Sierra. Sure hope my wife keeps putting up with my aviation habit!

We had a good turn out Saturday. (2) Sierras, (1) Sport, and (1) Musketeer. Plenty of talk about donuts and ADS-B at lunch. First East Central Fly-in for Gordon Lustfeldt. Gordon lives in Illinois and is based at Kentland, IN. Nick Boland's guest was Ruthie Wells who was on an EAA Eagle Flight. I have heard of the Young Eagles. An Eagle Flight is for any person 18 years or older that are interested in pursuing their pilots license. Roland Ashby's guest was Denny Gillem both came in from Michigan.
