I know this is kind of early to post this, but I'm really hoping those BAC members in the Southeast area will support & enjoy this special celebration. While this is not specifically a fly-in, the celebration is being held at Arnold Field (M31) Veterans Museum, an old army airfield with a very distinguished history
( http://www.dyaab.us/ ) located in Halls, TN. There is acres of ramp space here since it used to be a B-17 training base, so parking will be free & plentiful. I was advised that the Memphis FAA FastTeam will be on site offering some type of Wings eligible program (details to follow). The on site Veterans Museum will be open for tours during the celebration. This museum is a real hidden gem. The artifacts from WW I up to the Iraq War are very interesting and in some instances are one of a kind. Sadly, the airfield is in pretty rough shape - not much of it's WW II glory remains. But the spirit of the young men that trained there remain. This was their last stop before going to Europe. Arnold Field is only 156 miles from Tullahoma, TN & the Beechcraft Heritage Museum if you're interested in making a weekend of it. The Celebration begins at 10AM CST, and lasts till 10PM. I hope to see you there!
