Talk about bringing back GOOD memories! We would fly from KBMG to KMTO for breakfast on the weekends.
Rough River, Kentucky on Sundays for the Brunch they have.

Current forecast shows a good chance of rain and low ceilings all day on Saturday. Not sure how many BAC members were planning on attending. I was thinking of having Sunday as a rain day if the forecast holds. Or we can plan for another weekend. Looking for some feedback from those that were thinking of flying or driving to Mattoon.
 
Curt, Jane, and Rob hopefully the forecast will improve. Curt, send me text one way or another what your intentions are tomorrow. Rob just post here. If we cancel for tomorrow I will pick a different weekend since Sunday is not an option. I will let everyone know on the forum. Thanks.
 
10-4. If we cancel tomorrow, I can move to another time... I'm not seeing anything super bad for tomorrow, but I'm coming from KLAF.


Edit: well I am seeing rain but ceilings, visibility, and the worst of it seems to be south for a while. I wouldn’t want anyone from the south missing this though.

Edit2: Alright I concede... LLWS is a no-go for me. Bad experience in the past, and I'm not a super great pilot. :)
I'd very much like to actually make one of these fly-ins though. I haven't met any of you guys yet... I mostly lurk on here, but the content has been super helpful as I learned this airplane.

With the current and forecasted conditions. I’m going to cancel the fly-in. I’m instrument rated but I’m not going to fly in this. Curt texted me earlier and he will not be attending. We will probably try again in two weeks.

I've been talking with John this morning and told him I'd schedule Rough River (2I3) for Nov. 9 if he wanted to delay re-scheduling Mattoon a couple more weeks. Watch for the Rough River post if you're interested.
