Plan to attend in my Sierra with Nick Boland. Need to bang out my day VFR 100 mile for commercial training. KUMP-KMTO 107 mi, perfect. Nick said paper charts only so we may be a little late :).

John and Nick I am looking forward to seeing you both. Looks like deja vu. Forecasting rain with a possible mix of snow here in Indy. Mattoon forecasting rain, snow, and possible freezing rain. We'll see what it looks like in the morning. I'll throw it out here now. Sunday's forecast looks much better at this time. We could use Sunday as backup or cancel all together. I'll make the call tomorrow.

Besides John and Nick who else was planning on attending?

Jane and I had planned on attending but the weather near STL isn't looking good for tomorrow. We'll make the call then. Sunday won't work for us.

Nick and I can make Sunday but would have to be a brunch to be back in indy by 1300. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

Ok everyone we will see what the weather looks like tomorrow. Everyone has my cell. So, either text me or post here. John, if we go for Sunday brunch works for me.

Received a text from Curt that they will not be making it. Raining in the St. Louis area. Nick and I were texting last night and they are planning on Sunday for the training they need to do. Steve, what are your intentions?

Communicating with the other members today’s fly-in is cancelled....again. We are rescheduling for tomorrow at 10:00am CST.

Tentative yes for brunch on the 24th. Looks like weather will again make the go/no-go decision in the morning.

Good morning, While the weather cooperated, something came up this morning that pushed my flight to brunch lower on the to-do list. :(

Next time for sure...

Sorry you couldn't make it Tom and to those that could not make it today due to the weather cancellation yesterday. We finally were able to get this fly-in completed. We had three in attendance and two Sierras. Nick Boland, John Turchi, and John Redmon. John T. is working on his Commercial and used this flight to meet the 100nm VFR cross-country requirement. As you will see below the Airport Steak House is famous for their tenderloin. Know as the "Home of the Elephant Ear Tenderloin".

John Turchi about to tackle his tenderloin sandwich. By the way he was not able to eat all of it.

Looks like you had a great time. Where did you eat??? That looks like a large omlette and the biggest chicken sandwich I've ever seen!!

Is that a pork tenderloin sandwich? Brings back high school days where we'd get one almost that big for lunch at a local restaurant.
