The Mimslyn Inn is a world class historic Inn in Luray and by far the best. Google it. If it's too expensive, Luray Caverns has hotels associated with it.

Thanks Alan, I guess Mimslyn didn't show up in my search because their booked. Looks like there is something going on, it is a long weekend for some. most of the places in the area are booked, not much left to choose from close to the airport. We may be heading back home on Saturday.

Thanks Alan, I guess Mimslyn didn't show up in my search because their booked. Looks like there is something going on, it is a long weekend for some. most of the places in the area are booked, not much left to choose from close to the airport. We may be heading back home on Saturday.

I'm based at W13 (41 nm SE of LUA) and it's pretty much on your way. There are a lot of hotels in the area between Staunton, Waynesboro, Harrisonburg and Charlottesville. I've got more cars than you can shake a stick at and you're welcome to borrow one for the weekend and then just leave it at the airport when you leave. I can suggest lots of good hotels. Just let me know what you're looking for.
