I was fogged in. I didn't get airborne till 12. I made it to Berkley Springs (W35) then (FDK) for the $$$$$ Hamburger ($ for the Burger and fries $$$$ for the fuel) and then back to Manassas (HEF) . If the fog was not so bad I would be all over it. Sorry to miss out on the fun. I need that instrument rating also!!! Hey Scott I love the flightbook app by the way. JP

Yeah - I just did some local practice and stopped at an airport in Ellenville NY that I haven't been to before - in search of cheaper hangar space... The air was smooth as glass but the bugs were out in force - it's officially spring... Cool approach as the airport is in the mountains and you have to skirt down the front wall of a prison on the way in...

Spring Kick Off Fly-In at KFKL
The fog definitely delayed things yesterday, but two of us made it to KFKL for what turned into a beautiful day for flying. Tom Robertson and his safety pilot friend Darrel got there from KIDI about 11:00 AM, and after waiting for the fog to clear in New York, I made it there at about 12:10 PM. The restaurant, Primo Barones, was as good as advertised. Being St. Patrick's Day, I had to go with the grilled rueben and it was great. Here's some pictures, starting with Tom and Darrel, Tom in the restaurant waiting for his rueben, and Tom and I gesturing to the sky at the gorgeous weather and wondering where the other BAC flyers were.
