Can't make it to Sun n Fun but still want a fly-in experience in April? We are having a BAC Fly-in on the 4/13 at TTA in Sanford, NC to attend the Wings of Carolina Flying Club's Second Saturday Cookout. The WoC is a 350 member club of active pilots co-owning 13 aircraft (thought no Beech, yet
). The club is very active, social, and welcoming to new members or visitors.
Good food (typically standard cookout fare) starts being served around 12:00 for a flat $5.00. I've always found the food really good, which I cant say for too many flat fee $5.00 meals. If you don't like hangar flying or talking at length about AC and flying, you may want to skip this one.
The club asks only that we park on the grass or the main ramp (not far) and walk to the club as the club's ramp is very busy and has a lot of pedestrian traffic on cookout days.
As soon as we have a good idea of how many people are likely to attend I'll let the club know. TTA has historically been known as a good cheap fuel stop, though i'll still see if we can get a BAC discount once we have a headcount estimate.
Thanks,
