Wine Country Fly-In Jan. 16, 2010

Sad to say we may not make it after all. If weather is the curse of the east coast it seems that work is the curse of the west coast.

I've been sucked into a crisis since Monday that I thought would wrap by today but has not. So right now I have to go into work tomorrow. If the crisis wraps early enough for us to make the drive we might still make it - but the realistic bet at this point is not and it's a bit hard to make the drive up on Saturday to make it in time.

We'll see - updates to come but probably not before tomorrow night.

Watching weather, all of central CA is LIFR... I am planning on coming Sat. if weather opens up.

Come one, come all!

There will be door prizes, camaraderie, live performances by Bob Lewis on guitar ;-) and much, much more!

See you at Wine Country IV!!!!!

Hey, I didn't know he played! Bob, when I'm out in CA next month, should I bring my Ovation so we can maybe get together and jam?

Paul, Chris is kidding. I am LEARNING the guitar. So far all I do is cause the dogs to howl. ( And their tone is better than mine)

Woohoo weather good here, taking
off now, should be there around 12:30. Unfortunately not in the Sierra, but fortunately in another beech, s35 w/ io550 :)

Thanks Bob and Mariellen,
The new jet center was very nice, a well attended flyin, Thank you for setting this up!
It was nice to catch up and meet some new folks.

Well Wine Country IV was a great event but it is less than accurate to call it a "fly-in!" Only one Beechcraft got to fly into KDWA and it was driven by former BAC member Pablo Perazzo in his "new" Bonanza!

We did have a great turn-out, luncheon and presentation. Neither rain, nor sleet, nor dark of night shall pre-empt a BAC fly-in!

Get ready for the sequel, Wine Country V this coming May. Perhaps then we'll get even more members who actually get to fly their planes!

Thanks Mariellen and Bob.....good show!

I am very sorry to have missed, as I said I was going to be knee deep in annual. This is what knee deep looks like.

... and that was just a continuation from Saturday.

Yep, that is a prime example of that California Sun... in hiding!

I'm glad you all had fun, I really didn't want to miss the Fly-in, but I flew my IA in from Maine with a group of four of us, just couldn't get away. The Sunny-D will be ready to go in May!

Mike, I noticed your tools look abandoned on the ramp. Did you, run from a flash flood, flee from Lightning or drink too much coffee? What did you discover during annual?

We are looking at May for a follow up fly in. Mariellen did a great job putting this one together. I'm sorry you had to miss it.
