Touring the Galaxy
This is now a monthly event.  When you ask?  Well my friends it is held on the second saturday of the month.  We start about 1100 which gives you plenty of time to fly in the cool of the morning.  If you want to make it a overnight event and leave the next morning we can help you on that too.  More details in the calendar event or ping me.  Hope to see you there.
 
Third Time's a Charm!  This coming Saturday (14th) will be our third Second Saturday.  Burgers, planes and flying stories at Eagle Regional, northside away from the jets and where the fun is. Trust me, we don't party sideways.  Well, we don't start off that way... 
 
Well we had a good time with almost 30 burgers consumed, lots of fun talk and more than average excitement.

Lancair nose gear collapsed, all ok but the sound of that plane scraping down the runway was painful.
 
Now that you mention Lancair, below is what I guess one would call a takeoff incident or a not so successful go around, but it was effectively a stall on takeoff.

Both occupants climbed out shaken, but OK.

While it is difficult to figure out from the jpg, basically the engine, firewall, panel, and wing rotated left exposing the two seats.  Exiting the plane was much like getting up from an Easy Chair with seat belts.

That was in March of this year at our local strip.

Snow tends to quiet things down.

I like the security of the Beechcraft build.
