Around The Moon
The forecast is looking great! Fly in and enjoy lunch at my airport - - 8T8 - - on the west side of San Antonio, Texas. I will be serving from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Come sit in the shade for a while and talk airplanes.

My hangar is on the runway, about 2/3 of the way going south. Big and blue. Just look for the smoke! Let me know if you plan to attend so I may shop accordingly.

Left traffic for both runways, with RWY 17 being our usual. 3,000 feet of pavement. CTAF 122.9 Hope to see you on Saturday :)

I'm planning on making it. Candy was hoping to come with but is stuck having to work mid-day. I've got to do a little bit to get the airplane back together but it will be done by Saturday (pulled seats and floorboards to clean when I got back last weekend).

I have a non-BAC flying friend over at 1TE4 I can invite.

Nelson,

What brand of hot dogs are you serving? They better be approved by the FAA as there are new hangar-use rules in place for federally obligated airports.

I was going to be there until my exhaust system cracked. I'm in OKC all week for training and I was going to fly here then down to San Antonio for the holiday. I was really looking forward to it. I love that part of the country! Maybe next time.....

Looks like a smaller crowd, but welcoming to any last minute arrivals. Of course!

Per FAA .... Plain (aka: plane) hot dogs are approved use ....

Actual: brats, hamburgers, chicken, hot links, baked beans, chips and all the trimmings, and whatever else I can think of ... Peach cobbler is always a possibility ....

Neighbors most likely to be attracted by the smoke, so meet some new friends. All my treat (not BAC) as left overs are going home to the family.

Oh ... And your chance to see the two home builds and the now famous trumpet skunk works!

Hi Nelson;
I have been away from the BAC site for a bit, so just saw this. Have not been to 8T8 for too long, so I will be there...drive or fly it's all good. Thx for setting it up. Looking forward to it.

Still planning on showing. I took all the floorboards and seats out to clean up but it's been taking all week for the floorboards to dry and I don't want to put them back in wet or damp. So current plan is via air - but if things don't dry out by morning I'll drive.

My friend over at 1TE4 says he'll try to make it (Bard Marcum)s. He flies a very pretty red and white Skybolt (N913BM).

For those driving, gate code is 7642

entry is 6 miles west of loop 1604 on culebra road, about two miles west of the city limits. If you get to the exxon, you have gone 300 yards too far.

Nelson,

The co-owner and I will be bringing N6501R. We look forward to meeting you and some other Beech drivers!

Four planes, seven peeps incoming, great times! Weather turned out as well.
