Around The Moon
The details are still being worked out, but we will tour GE's Jet Engine Test Facility on FRIDAY, August 28th, as GE no longer offers weekend tours. This will be similar to the fly-in we did here two years ago.
We'll fly into, and be based at, Hillsboro, Ohio (KHOC). Our host at Hillsboro will be Hangar 6, which is a Certified Repair Station. Our hosts will be BAC members Dan Kirby and George Matthews.
A barbecue lunch will be served at noon at Hangar 6, then we’ll provide transportation to the GE Jet Engine Test Facility GE, which is located at Peebles, Ohio. The tour will start around 2:30, so we will leave on the shuttle around 2:00. The tour will last about two hours, so plan on being back at the Hillsboro airport around 5:30.
We will need a list of names of attendees to provide GE prior to the tour for a security check.
