Lunch at Skyline Restaurant - Portsmouth, OH (KPMH) - Saturday, November 30, 2013

I went to Michigan this summer, we drove up and took the ferry over to Mackinac. It was a good time although a bit on the expensive side. Very nice place but plan on spending plenty if you stay over night. It also pays to reserve ahead, weekends tend to be sold out early in the season. A better idea would be to set up a fly in over at Mackinaw City airport and fly over in the am.
 
I am thinking of using traverse city as the meet up place and then head to Mackinaw for the day trip. Thoughts?
 
Traverse city is nice. Also Sugar Loaf resort has been bought and they are trying to have it reopened for the fall of 2014. May want to keep a eye on that project. There are two golf courses for the golfers in the crowd. Might be able to swing some room deals if they get the hotel open early.
