OK, I'm hosting a luncheon at Lake Havasu City, Airizona (KHII) on the 15th of November. I'll try to get some type of fuel discount though D2 Aero. They have a courtesy van and get discounts at several restaurants in town. All you Southwesters are expected to be there.

Looking forward to it, well, I don't think I'll make any progress on the PT points, since your hosting this guy you get bonus points, so I'll still be behind you........

Nice looking advertisement on the main page! Is that your Sierra?

That's me. Ben is in the foreground with his Musketeer. Wonderful flight with Thom Smith recording all for posterity. Great time for all.

All for one!

Hey Dutchman!

Of all the dates! I am out of town and won't be able to make it, darn it!

Hope you have a good turn out. Keep a list of names and transportation modes for the PT points report.

Thanks for hosting an event. You will get 100 bonus PT points plus miles/points for flying over. Just paddin' that lead I see!

Well done!

Marty,
Finally got hold of my IA, we are hoping to get the annual done next week, and if all goes well I will HOPEFULLY make Havasu. Like I said he's on a liver transplant list after a long but unsuccessful treatment regime, so he has good days and very bad days. It will no doubt be a very substantial "owner assist" annual.

But I am'a hopin!

Marty,
finally got the schedule for that weekend. Flying to San Diego, on Thursday and scheduled to fly home saturday afternoon. Will try and make lunch on Saturday, and then back to S.D. and then home. IF I can get the wife to skip a meeting, maybe home from HKII.

Rick,

Just to note, the 15th is Sunday. It would be great to have you attend.

Sorry for the late response, I've been helping a friend move ......... a body.

All,

I am still playing phone tag with the manager of D2 Aero. So, I have contacted their competitor, Desert Skies. They have the cheapest gas on the field and will provide us an additional 20 cents off per gallon. At today's price that would be $3.60/gallon for 100LL and we will get free tie down space. Call on 123.3 to announce your arrival and a "follow me cart" will direct you to the parking. Desert Skies also has a "crew car" available. There is a new restaurant opening adjacent to Desert Skies called Waldo's BBQ. If everyone likes BBQ (who doesn't?) we could have our lunch at the airport and waddle back out to the airplanes and be home for dinner.

There is a museum in Lake Havasu that sorta chronicles the growth of the area. If there is interest, we could go there for a hour or so to kill some time before lunch. One of our members has an interesting airplane on display there.

On a side note, D2 Aero is supporting the 99s pancake breakfast Sunday morning in their hanger. So, anyone who gets there early enough, can have breakfast and lunch.

If you can get away, please consider making the trip to KHII on Sunday, 15 November, 2009.

I'm actually planning on making it...Sunday's fine although it means I can't kill a 2nd bird on that trip by hitting Spruce at Corona on the way up.

I'm coming up out of KMYF there's anyone in SD being touristy who wants to tag along.

Is it too early for a show of hands for lunch on Sunday at KHII? I would like to have the restaurant reservations by tomorrow some time. I have confirmed the $0.20 discount on fuel and there will be people marshaling in airplanes. Call Desert Skies unicom after landing on 123.3 and announce your arrival. Don't forget to bring your girlfriends!
