Impromptu Fly In

rkittine

Around The Moon
I am planning to try lunch at the Cafe at Mansfield, Mass Wednesday or Thursday this week. As I will probably be in a Mouse, anyone want to join me?

My Sundowner is based in Mansfield. So are two other Sundowners. I guess that means I will drive to the fly-in. The transient parking line is near the compass rose and the numbers to Runway 14 and parallel to the grass runway. Weather looks HOT! I will be away from my computer so a phone call on which day and hour would be best.

Well all bets are off as I fell last night, broke my nose, dislocated my jaw and broke 5 bones on my face. I am in the hospital awaiting surgery.

Sorry to hear that... Hoping you feel better soon. Familiar with Broken Bones... They are no fune, wishing you a speedy recovery and sending Prayers!

Bob,
That's kind of a weak excuse not to attend a fly-in that will be near 100 degrees F and probably less than three miles visibility in haze.
I'm offering to help you recover. I never attended a real medical school, but I did hang around a drug store a lot!
(Get a good doctor. Look what happened to this guy from Florida who chose Sparkie as his surgeon.)
Tom

So sorry to hear this happened to you. A few years ago, I fell and broke a small bone in my nose. Bled like the proverbial stuck hog. That was no fun. What happened to you was multiple times worse. I pray you recover quickly and get back in the sky.

Thank you all. I have surgery Friday morning at 7:30AM and that I will probably be allowed to go home on Saturday. But I will be on a liquid only diet for a month and a soft diet for the next two months after that.

Dint I tell ya to stop dancin' with props? I'll call you Sunday - best wishes from your commercial student.......

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. Take it easy and do what the doctors say. (That will be hard. I know, but, I usually regretted not listening later)
