Ice Cream Social at AirVenture Oshkosh - Oshkosh, WI (KOSH) - Monday, July 22, 2019

Join us for our annual ice cream social meet and greet to kick off the start of AirVenture 2019. We will meet at the Vintage Red Barn at 12:30pm CDT. About 12:45pm CDT after exchanging pleasantries we will walk over to one of the nearby concession stands for ice cream cones. If we are lucky again this year. We can join the EAA Vintage Aircraft Association's ice cream social for a small donation.

Arrived this afternoon. Staying at the University. Looking forward to seeing the early arrivals tomorrow.

John I enjoyed this event last year and wish I could be there again, but wish is all I have. I hope you and all enjoy this and AirVenture this year.

It will be interesting to see how many make it. Due to all the rain, OSH is closed to all grass parking unless you have tundra tires. I heard the campgrounds were closed also. Saw pictures of tents sitting in several inches of water

I have been here for about an hour already won a free case of 1550 will be over at the campsite later today to give it to someone

What a beautiful day to start out AirVenture Oshkosh 2019! Someone with the Vintage Aircraft Assoc. must have placed a smaller order this year. When Kenny Cook and I went to get ice cream at 12:34pm they were out of spoons and almost out of ice cream. Kenny being the resourceful guy that he is, was able to come up with some forks from a nearby vendor. Kenny and I then met up with Dan Rothe and his wife Nina Rossini who drove in from Springfield, IL. We all were able to enjoy some ice cream before they ran out. May have to move up the start time next year. In previous years they were serving ice cream well past 1:00pm.
