Just to remind all those coming to BACFest, Gulf Air Center is our host FBO. It is located on the west end of the airport adjacent to the threshhold of runway 9. See the diagram below. If you would like to rent a car in Gulf Shores, Hertz rentals are available through Gulf Air Center. Advance Hertz reservations are required by calling the FBO, 1-877-548-5324 or 1-251-968-5200. Let them know you’re with Beech Aero Club.

If you are not renting a car at the FBO, you'll need a cab to transport you to the hotel. There is no BAC hotel shuttle. Here's the hotel address and phone number:

Runways 17-35 are closed so plan on 9-27. Gulf Air Center is near the threshold for 9. Two baby Beeches on the ramp now. More arrivals scheduled tomorrow and Wednesday. Thursday is the biggest day for arrivals.
 
Gulf Air Center, our host FBO, is offering our members his "base customer" fuel rate so we encourage all our members to gas up at Gulf Air Center.
 
Brad Mitchell has done an outstanding job with this event. We appreciate his thorough planning and dedication to the organization.

Thanks guys. I appreciate everyone who has arrived early and those arriving the rest of the week. BACFest is a great time for members and spouses to get together and share fun times.

Cloyd, 8 was the fewest planes we've had in both Gatlinburg and Ithaca when weather played havoc. I'm hoping to top 22 planes this year to make it the second most planes behind Myrtle Beach (32). We had 22 planes in Wichita for the first BACFest.

Marty and I had an awesome afternoon and dinner with Bill M., on our way to BACfest 2012!!!

Formation flight this afternoon. Here we come!
