I can't offically call this a BAC flyin because it's not "open", but I did want to pass on an opportunity that's just too cool

Edwards AFB is hosting their first civilian fly-in in a long, long time. There are 100 slots by lottery (you have to apply in advance) to fly in to the Rosalind Dry Lakebed. Check out http://www.flighttestnation.com/ - the application link is on that page. You will need your pilot's certificate number and full name means _full_ name - first middle last. If you don't get a fly-in slot you can drive in but I believe all attendees have to apply in advance to cover the security requirements.

Do other folks a favor and don't apply unless you're committed to make it - there will be no chance to reassign the fly-in slots for those that no-show or cancel. But if you are game - it's quite an opportunity.

Do read the notes on flying into Antelope Valley...but it should be somewhat not so bad on October 1. The fly-in also starts _really_ early so you can beat the winds and the heat in.
