East Hampton Fly In

I spoke with the President of the Pilots Association today regarding the waiving of landing fees during this years "Just Plane Fun Day" at HTO. I am waiting for confirmation that this will happen, but have been told that in all likely hood it will.

This will be held on September 11th, 2021. There is plenty of room for parking at East Hampton, so this might be a great day to add a Beech Aero Club Fly In. 

As many know on 09/26/2021 all the FAA assurances will have expired and there is currently a push on to close the airport or close it and re-open it as a Private Airport with extreme restrictions. So it might be the last time that many will be able to see this field which has been around since 1939.

In any case, I will let everyone know more as I learn more.

If you don’t mind the landing fee, I can arrange transportation to a local sports bar. This time of the year there is space on the Executive ramp that is not charged for using it for a few hours since I know the owners.
