Fly into Mt. Vernon Outland Airport and join us at the Bonnie Cafe. The restaurant is located on the field. They serve a great buffet. Curt Lindauer will be our host. Arrive by 11:00am CDT.
I taught at Clow International in Plainfield, Illinois for years and flew all over the area , but can't remember ever going to that airport. I will have to check it out.
A bit of fog this morning at Indy Regional (KMQJ) but quickly burned off before takeoff. Smooth flight over with 150kt GS. Got a bit bumpy after descending into the pattern. Good turnout. We had seven attendees. The North Central and East Central regions were represented. We had three Sierras and one Super III on the field. The Bonnie Cafe was very good. I would highly recommend attending our next fly-in at Mount Vernon in 2025. Thanks to everyone that attended. Trip back was constantly bumpy the entire flight at 120kt GS. Can't be a smooth flight all the time. Be on the lookout for our next fly-in.
