At the end of October all restaurants except one Pub on Block Island Closed for the season. But, in mid November a new owner reopened the cafe at the airport, which will be open year round if supported. So far they seem to be doing very well.

Maybe it is time to try another Montauk Fly In. It could be coupled with Lunch (or breakfast) on Block Island?

Thoughts?
 
Breakfast on block island, lunch at Brookhaven? with a 2 minute, coordinated turn around the montauk lighthouse in between? How's that for a fly-in? I'm in, of course.
 
Let’s set up right after the new year. I think I might be able to get Montauk to waive the landing fee, so there could be a quick stop there or at least a low pass.

I had lunch on Block Island last week. Food was good. Prices... as you'd expect. $10 landing fee to the State of Rhode Island.
Montauk, New York was worth the ride (car/ferry from New London, Connecticut). Google "Camp Hero".
Brookhaven Airport in Shirley, New York is free to land; $7.00 to depart. Dan Dicker is based there. Mention his name... see what that gets you.

Hmmm…..I gotta friend who needs a ride to NYC from Rochester around Jan 11. Maybe make an overnight here Kam, and I’ll escort you most of the way home the next day.

Lots of moving parts, but maybe that works….and would be fun.
