BAC to Oshkosh July 27th.

Around The Moon
If there is enough interest, I will put together a meeting (fly-in for PT purposes) at OSH for BAC members (or recruit someone else to do it!). I'm thinking of a meal event, either lunch or dinner. If you are attending the Oshkosh fly-in, let me know if you are interested in getting together with your fellow BACers, and if so, what day(s) would work best for you and whether you prefer lunch or dinner, then I'll pick the best day and meal for the event and get it on the BAC calendar.

If anyone is camping at OSH, that might be a nice place to meet. We might even be able to fly a BAC banner or two! Let me know.

I'm planning on being there on the 27th. I was going to camp but, the Howard Johnson had some rooms. I wouldn't mind a get together dinner and to meet a few BAC'ers.

Fellow Mice Drivers:

The McPhersons are heading to Airventure this year!!! (WOW....first Sun-N-Fun in April and now Airventure in July 8) ! We will be at OSH Friday, Saturday and Sunday then leave Monday morning for Mackinac Island. We will be staying at the Clarion in Green Bay (giving us about a 50 mile drive each day to Airventure).

We would love to get together with fellow BACers while there.

We're flying in from Florida but we are not bringing the Beech. We're flying the Cessna 195. Can we still have dinner with some BAC'ers?

I will be there for the first time and will be flying the Sundowner...oh and my lovely wife and one of my kids or so!

We're anticipating arriving Fri and staying Saturday and Sunday. The 195 we fly is just average looking but a lot of fun to fly. Hope to see some of your guys at Osh.

Right now it looks like Friday night for dinner is the best choice. I'll wait a few more days to make a final decision, as some may not have seen this thread because of the holiday weekend.

Anyone else planning to come to AirVenture, let me know soon, so I can make reservations.

I forgot to ask previously, but let me know how many will be in your party.

I've got reservations at the Hilton Garden Inn for our BAC to Oshkosh dinner Friday evening July 27th at 6:30 PM. They don't have a private room available for us, so I will do a little more checking. The location may change, but I needed to lock something in before it's too late!

I need a head count, so please confirm or reconfirm your attendance by replying to this thread and include the number of attendees.

I will post the fly-in on the website.

Looking forward to seeing you at AirVenture!

East Central Region Director

I've submitted the BAC Oshkosh dinner information to AirVenture , so hopefully we will appear as a type club on their website.

Let me know if you are planning to attend and how many of you there will be.

We are now listed on the AirVenture website as a type club event!

Still looking for more BACers to attend. Let me know as soon as you can.

BAC Dinner at OSH AirVenture

So far, we have 10 people signed up for the dinner. If you haven't signed up yet, or are not sure if you have, send me an email or call me to confirm. More details under BAC fly-ins. Make sure I have your cell phone number, so I can let you know of any change of plans. Those of us attending AirVenture on Friday will probably caravan over to the hotel.

Hope to see you there!!

I made a typo on my email address in the news bulletin. If anyone has tried to email me and failed, try again. I'm [email protected]. Sorry for the error.

We now have sixteen people signed up!

Good going, Bob! Take lots of pictures of the people that show up. We always get great shots of planes and stuff (and rightfully so) but we need to see some faces that attend these functions.

Have fun, wish I was gonna be there!

We are up to 19 people signed up for the dinner!

We have representatives from Florida, Texas, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Minnesota, California, and Australia. Did I miss anyone?

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you!

I will not have access to email for a few days, so please call 414-397-8215 with reservations, confirmations, questions, etc.

MEETING UPDATE!!!! Due to the larger than expected turnout (a GOOD thing!), we will be meeting in the Yeager Room at the Hilton Garden. Same place, but a private room...

We have the room from 6:30 until 9:00.

I plan to be back home by Friday, but my son and I are flying the Sundowner into Oshkosh this Saturday, planning to camp in the North 40.

I thought we would fly in before the worst of the crowd arrives (early Saturday morning), and head for home early in the AM on Wednesday or Thursday.

I've been to Oshkosh many times, but have always flown into Fondulac or Wautoma...have driven the SUV most trips. I have flown into KLAL for Sun n Fun (this year about 10 minutes ahead of the fateful Wheeler Express that smoked in on approach), but I'm a little cautious about flying into the swarm at KOSH.

Dave

We now have 22 people signed up. We just added Canada to the list...

Any more??

If emailed me about attending and haven't seen a reply, email me again. I'm missing a few emails while traveling that ended up on my home computer.
