Thought I'd start a new topic for current travel updates for BACers.

After watching the weather for about 5 hours we've decided it's no-go, there's 350+ miles of weather and low IFR including some pretty long stretches below minimums, forecasts of embedded thunderstorms, and very adverse winds (40kt headwinds for the southern portion). Detours around leave us with more flying time than driving time...

So SuperMouse is staying in the hanger and the Pimpmobile (my wifes cherry Red Durango) will be our steed for the weekend. That just gives us ~600 miles of I-35 to cover today, so we'll see ya'all probably in time for apertifs after dinner.
 
Dern, Dave. He didn't say he isn't coming; just that he's doing it the hard way. Or maybe it's the easy way, considering the weather he was looking at! Sounds like we'll be seeing Mark later tonight or in the morning.
 
We're here at the Marriot. Coincidences are strange - we ended up meeting my wife's oldest sister for dinner in KC (she's was in from Nashville for a business day trip), something that wouldn't have happened had we been picking our way around embedded T-storms all day.

Might sneak down for a beer if the wife isn't paying attention, otherwise see all y'all in the morning at Raytheon.
