BAC Fly-in, Open House and FAA WINGS seminar at Hartness State/Springfield Airport (KVSF) in North Springfield, Vermont on Sat., April 23

Complimentary continental breakfast will be available, and from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Beech Aero Club members officially get together at 11:00 am.

FAA FAAST team member Mike Nesshoever will present a WINGS credit eligible seminar "Are You Ready to Fly" with a special edition of "Airport Markings and Signage Jeopardy."

Springfield Aviation, LLC will hold its Grand Opening Open House throughout the day. Stop in and meet Beech Aero Club Vermont Air Boss Larry Perry and A&P/IA Brian Shepa. Larry and Brian set up shop in a newly renovated 5000 square foot hangar and had a "soft opening" last July 1st. Since then Springfield Aviation has completed work ranging from annual inspections, cylinder replacements and prop overhauls on more than thirty aircraft. We believe the involved owner has a better understanding and appreciation of their aircraft, and we encourage owners' participation in permitted maintenance.

Sign up for the WINGS seminar at https://www.faasafety.gov/SPANS/event_details.aspx?eid=68608

We look forward to seeing you April 23rd!

I wish I could make it. I have stopped in to see Larry and this airport in the past. New England is great this time of year.

Is this a BAC only event or open to all? If it's open to all, I'll put it on Social Flight for him.

Tom Corcoran, Steve Cote - Airboss of Massachusetts, Wayne Hansen, Larry Perry - Airboss of Vermont.

Generous continental breakfast and a great interactive FAA safety seminar. Crappy weather in the morning until about 10am and the flying got better. Super ride back to Massachusetts once you climbed over the bumps to 7000'.

Did everyone fly or did some drive?

Would have liked to have made it, but rain and low ceilings early Sat. AM dissuaded me. I hope I don't lose my Airboss of Maine status over this.

Several issues to reply to:

Glenn, because you almost showed up your reward is another year as THE AIRBOSS of MAINE.

Doctor White, I know you are compiling the President's Trophy points for BAC so I will not put labels on your very probing and invasive question.
Yes, everyone flew in, I guess. Wayne and I were in my very splendid Sundowner. Steve Cote arrived in his very splendid Sundowner. Larry Perry is the Airport Manager as well as AIRBOSS of VERMONT and I think he walked to the fly-in. Do you have a special award category for that... DOCTOR?

Oh,I didn't so much fly in as I bounced in. Rough ride; but, then again, it's New England:smile:
